1.  How should I dress ?

You may dress however you wish, but if you would like to receive a massage following a workout, please shower before your massage.   

2.  What should I expect during the session?

The therapist will go over your health history and goals for the massage session, and then leave the room to allow you to undress and get onto the table. You should feel free to remove as much or as little of your clothing as you wish.  Depending on the type of treatment please keep in mind that the therapist may be more effective if you are fully undressed, including your underwear, but your comfort level is most important.   The therapist works with the clients fully draped.  Only the part of your body the therapist is working on will be undraped.

Once you are undressed, on the table, and under the sheets and blanket, the Therapist will knock to make sure you are ready, come back into the room, and begin the session.   The therapist generally work with some sort of soft music playing, but will gladly change the music or work in silence if you prefer. The therapist will also check in with you about pressure, temperature, and general comfort.

3.  Who do we treat?

We treat everyone.  Many of our clients are weekend warriors, athletes, post operation patients, or recovering from injuries.

4.  What is a Therapeutic Massage?

Therapeutic massage incorporates a variety of advanced modalities that enhance the body’s natural restorative functioning. Light to firm touch is used to release tension, relax muscles, increase blood and lymph circulation, and impart a sense of calm. Therapeutic massage can be used as a collaborative, supportive addition to conventional medical treatment of illness and injury, alleviating pain and stress, aiding soft tissue healing, and revitalizing the body. Also, regular massage can enhance health, providing relaxation, release of muscle tightness, relief from anxiety and tensions, and balancing aspects of body/mind/spirit.

5. Should I tip Massage therapist?

They are not mandatory, but appreciated.  Most of our clients tip 18 - 22% of the service rate.
